Scriptures On Faith
Scripture Power:
When talking about the Scriptures On Faith, we must say that The scriptures have been used to empower and inspire people for years. They can be used as a source of direction and enlightenment. Many character-building traits can be acquired through studying their pages. in them, one can find the strength to meet the seemingly endless challenges of life. Once the scripture words are taken into the heart and applied there can be a real benefit to the person. Thereof are several other elements that can be acquired by scripture reading and study.
Faith can be developed by making the scriptures a part of your mindset. The scripture teaches us to believe even though we have not seen the end product or result. We are confident in a positive outcome to our situations, no matter what present conditions look like. Habitual reading of the scripture helps us to gain faith upon faith as the victories are won. As we study the scriptures, the faith tree begins to grow stronger and stronger.
Our reading the scriptures leads to a life of more success. We become more positive and confident.
I believe that reading the scriptures will help us to develop our memory. The scriptures that are committed to memory can become the building blocks of our lives. When we exercise the mind through scripture study, we are strengthening the memory. The memory that is used regularly has the best chance of staying in shape. Scripture study will help to ensure our recall muscles stay at the ready.
Regular scripture study will help us to become more mentally stable. This last point may be the hardest because it may seem that you are sometimes overwhelmed by your problems. Learn to be at peace through your studies and trust in the mighty one of the scriptures, Yahweh. Hang on to your mind and be strong. You must realize that there is one greater than ourselves and he will have the last say, not man. NOT MAN!
Faith Healing: Encouraging Scriptures for Difficult Times By Momodou Sabally:
You have been reading self-help, motivational literature and indeed they are helpful especially when times get rough, as they are won’t be occasionally. But the Holy Scriptures have solutions unmatched by the best secular literature of all times. Think of the Psalm of Faith and its effect on your mental and spiritual wellbeing if you approach it with the right mindset: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me… ”
The above verses will work miracles in your mind and then your practical life if you read them with faith and try to live the inherent principles. In life, the cup is either half-full or half-empty depending on how you view it. It is better to view that proverbial cup with a positive lens. Imagine starting your day with the following words from the Holy Bible “This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it!” and then remembering what Allah said in Chapter 14 verse 7 of the Holy Quran that “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor];” If you practice this daily your life will shine with the glitter of the brightest star because you would have been living the secret of the ages.
Verse 286 of the second chapter of the Holy Quran is a great remedy for your worries: “Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have the strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector… ”
I spent a couple of months in jail during the year 2014. It was tough; I got solace from Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” But the most comforting verses for me came from Chapter 3 verses 173-174 of the Holy Quran: “Those to whom hypocrites said, ‘Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them.’ But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said, ‘Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.’ So they returned with favor from Allah and bounty, no harm having touched them. And they pursued the pleasure of Allah, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.”
Finally, have you read chapter 93 of the Holy Quran? The very name of this chapter is solace for any weary soul, “The Glorious Morning Light”. Let me share the first three verses as appetizers for those who want to study this chapter. It has been a consistent comforter and guides for my soul during the many vicissitudes that have visited me during my path to enlightenment. This chapter was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be on him) during a dark period of his ministry when he was beset with severe challenges. Here are the first three verses: “By the Glorious Morning Light, And by the Night when it is still,- Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.”
I have learned to live through the above verses that you do not have to reach the end of the tunnel to see the light; you can travel through the tunnel of your trials with light if you embrace scripture with the right attitude.
Make a habit of reading and contemplating on scripture at all times, smooth or rough. As Charles Runels, MD recommends in his book on sex “Anytime… for as Long as you Want”, which is actually a very spiritual book, “10-15 minutes per day with the Holy Bible will put you in contact with the great minds of the ages.” The habit of reading scripture regularly would be a sure buoy in the turbulent waters of our present times, with the persistent onslaught of the unpredictable waves of globalization. Scripture is the cure for maladies, mental and spiritual, read on with faith.
